Part Time Courses
Afternoon and evening part-time courses are ideal for students who work or live in the U.K. and wish to perfect their English and gain new skills. Although no course book is provided to part-time students, they will be given supplementary learning materials produced in-house by experienced teachers.
You will be given an initial assessment to determine which class is most suitable to develop your level and understanding of English. The initial assessment will include a grammar test, writing test and speaking test. We reserve the right to place you in a class which we deem appropriate for your level.
Academic English
This course is aimed at international students who plan to study at university level in the UK. It includes general English language learning, IELTS preparation, writing skills and study skills.Our IELTS / study skills courses prepare learners for the IELTS exam as well as equip them with practical skills which they will need when they study at college or university.
IELTS/Study Skills
The focus of the courses is on the development of reading skills required for tackling long academic texts, extracting and processing key information. The writing skills which we help learners develop and improve are the planning, writing and editing of academic essays, reports and table descriptions. Through the exposure to authentic listening texts and practical tasks, we aim to provide learners with adequate practice to increase their active listening skills. The topics have been chosen to build up learners’ vocabulary store, give them confidence to converse on a range of topics, and to fully cover the IELTS test specifications.
Part-time courses enable flexibility in that you can fit them round your life and work.
